Gift wrap instruction for Sparkly gift wrap idea:

Another all-purpose wrap that can be used for a birthday, congratulations, or holiday gifts. This one works any time of year. DIY gift wraps using cute washi tape are a simple way to add pizzazz!

A simple sparkly gift wrap idea that is suitable for any occasion or holiday season. Mine uses a gold glitter wrapping paper with various metallic washi tapes. I started by wrapping a neutral baker’s twine multiple times around the mid-section of the package. I then added the washi tape, folded over the baker’s twine at various points and cut them to look like flags.  Lastly, I glued on some stars I had in my craft box and a gift tag. This is an easy way to be creative! And the possibilities are endless. How about a bright green glitter wrapping paper and glitter tape for Christmas gifts. Or for someone who loves purple, a great purple gift wrap and floral washi tape garland.

Places to find Washi Tape

Almost anywhere! It’s become so popular and it’s so versatile that it seems like it’s everywhere. Amazon of course. And your local craft store like Michaels and JoAnns, but at bigger places like these they seem to only sell them in bundles. Groups of colors like all pastels, all  bright colors or all glitter washi tape. Or a themed group like all floral or all holiday. If you prefer like I do to buy a single roll or pick and choose, then Etsy is your best bet for Washi tape. Even a paper or gift shop may have washi tape. And they come in various widths from 1/4 inch to 2 inch wide washi tape.

Glitter wrapping paper tips

Glitter Wrapping paper can be frustrating to use because ordinary tape usually will not do the job. There are products out there designed just for this type of paper, one being a special Super Tacky tape which is just what it sounds like. A double sided tape that is more tacky than regular double sided tape. In addition I have used hot glue with great success.
