I love wrapping gifts and these gorgeous gift-wrapping ideas using natural elements are striking in their simplicity. There’s something just so impressive about a package wrapped all in a single color. It’s the perfect blank canvas to showcase natural materials. This one uses berries, leaves, and pine cones to create the look but if you have some fresh eucalyptus, pretty wildflower pods, or some evergreen sprigs, those would be a great alternative. This is not your traditional wrapping paper but is a great way to add your own personal touch.
This tone-on-tone gift started with a light purple gift wrap. I took a piece of the paper to the hardware store to try and match the color to a spray paint color. It is a little darker but I think it looks nice.
The leaves are magnolia leaves from a neighbor’s yard. I just let them dry first before I spray-painted them. The pine cones are some I purchased at one of my neighborhood craft stores as are the berries, which are an artificial spray that I cut apart. I just sprayed them all with a few coats of paint and let them dry thoroughly.
After wrapping the package, I tied a lovely sheer organza ribbon around it and tied it in a simple bow. Then I hot glued the pine cones to the center as shown. I tucked the magnolia leaves and cut berries in behind the pine cones until I liked how they looked. Once I did, I glued them in place. That’s it. So easy. And so pretty. Perfect for those special occasions at any time of the year. And you could do this in any color. I wanted something unusual for the holiday season, but red would be beautiful and a more traditional gift wrap. Or pick a color that is the favorite of the gift recipient. There are so many creative ways to make this gift wrap idea perfect for anyone.
