Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and these gift ideas all packaged up for the holiday season are the perfect way to say I love you.
These darling party favors are a snap to put together and are perfect for a Valentine’s Day party, Birthday or Wedding. Just head to your favorite party supplies or dollar store and pick up everything you need.
I used small white treat bags that measured 6 inches tall and 3 inches wide but there are a variety of sizes available so you could use any size gift bags you like. Using a thin piece of cardboard (I used an old folder) I drew and then cut out a template that was shaped like a flag. Then I used the template to cut the shapes from the pink tissue paper. I used 3 layers of tissue paper for each flag and used Mod Podge to attach them to the front of the gift bags as shown.
To make the hearts, I used a Cricut to cut them from card stock, but it would be easy enough to simply cut the hearts from card stock without one. I cut my hearts from three different shades of pink card stock, just to mix it up, but I have an abundance of pink card stock. Then I glued the pink hearts, to the bags, centering them on the tissue flags as shown.
For the paper straw arrows, I cut two pieces from gold card stock – one shaped like the tip of the spear and one shaped like the feather and used hot glue to attach them to the ends of the straw.
Now for the fun part! Filling these cute favor bags with whatever goodies you like. I filled mine with a sweet treat but depending on the occasion you could fill them with small toys, soap, nuts, cute stickers or chocolate hearts. After you’ve done that, you are ready to attach the arrows to close them up. I applied hot glue to middle section of the paper straw arrow and folded the top of the gift bag around it to seal it.
Simple and these can be put together in no time. And the perfect darling party favor bag idea! Or Valentine party favors. Or bridal shower favor. These would even be cute for a baby shower. They are perfect for kids of all ages.And a great way to celebrate most any occasion and give it that special touch!
