If you are looking for an all occasion gift wrap this may be the perfect DIY gift wrap idea. With wedding season approaching this is a unique way to wrap a wedding gift for the happy couple on their big day. This would also be suitable for a bridal shower or bridesmaid gift and perfect for any summer celebrations. And of course this would be a festive idea for the holiday season.
Simple gift-wrapping supplies are all that are needed for this beautifully wrapped gift and most are available at your local craft store. Just a beautiful wrapping paper, a wide length of ribbon, some ornaments and any natural elements you might have – shells or a starfish like I used.
Mine is wrapped all in white with a wide white ribbon for a lovely tone-on-tone look but any simple colors will look great here. I aimed to keep it clean and classic looking for a next-level gift wrap idea.
I started by wrapping a long oblong shaped gift box in a slightly glossy white paper. Then I added a 2″ white grosgrain ribbon, wrapped around the middle of the box both horizontally and vertically and tied in a perfect bow. I hot-glued the ends of the bow to the package to keep them in place and let the ends dangle. Then I hot-glued the starfish to the center. The two 1.5″ white ornaments were hot glued on as well. This gift wrap idea would work well regardless of the size of the gift boxes – perfect for a small gift or a large gift.
Need some other creative gift wrap ideas? Sometimes the best ideas are the simplest. If this is for the holiday season, you could always swap out the plain white gift wrap and opt for something more traditional.
For holiday gifts, you could use a gift wrapping paper in beautiful festive colors – perhaps a bright red or silver foil. Just add the same color wide ribbon tied in a perfect bow, a large shell and glass ball ornaments for a beautiful gift presentation.
For a bridal or baby shower, a gift wrapped in a solid-colored paper or floral designs with a matching velvet ribbon, a pastel shell and coordinating ornaments would be a perfect way to add a personal touch.
